Wearing the pants, and weilding the power

Apparently you can't mess with ex-boyfriends' random acquaintances and then expect cheer from ever-present righteous sets of beady eyes that double up as spies. Now while this sounds more blase than is accurate, playing with fire can be fun. Don't let them tell you otherwise, definitely don't believe the good parenting guides; little kids should be gifted matches. Strike them anyway, burn yourselves, learn your own life-lessons. Who needs counsel on a silver platter, when there's no reason except conventional soundness to take the kindly offered, but still very obtrusive advice. What's the fun in always doing the right thing; when was that ever more satisfying than youthful defiance anyway.

What might the temporariness of lust and fancy have been like if there was no consideration to be shown; just adventure to be had, instead. I am sure I don't completely care, and am OK being this -- *scoff* -- considerate, but consideration, is also what one poorly-endowed female cop informed me, this past fortnight, was what was being shown -- on her part -- in accepting a bribe from me, in place of a larger, full fledged, with-receipt fine. Such twisted virtues, such premiums on being boring, therefore safe, and safely in the glory of all nauseatingly beautiful shades of lily white.

And the friends. The his friends, whom you lazily just assume are sort of your friends too, till of course, such mild kiss and tell dilemmas corner them into deciding where their loyalties lie, and they invariably lie with the people they knew first; and these first comers just happen to be your one time lovers. It's only fair. Not very nice, but only fair. And that is where the regret lies, the only regret perhaps; not in not doing the right thing, just in these one-off repercussions that hadn't seemed as obvious earlier as they now evidently are.

But interesting.

I wish I could be more explicit. :)

But thank you.
